Skyfall - James Bond 007

Uma parábola, uma metáfora sobre a ressurreição do Império Britânico. Resumindo, seria basicamente isso.
Eis a Inglaterra, é claro, a Escócia, a Irlanda (indiretamente através do IRA) e as antigas colônias, Macau, Hong Kong e a Turquia (ocupada pelo ingleses após a grande guerra).
Temos citações explicitas de Batman, Apocalipse Now, O Silêncio dos Inocentes, entre outros, como forma de distração. 
Mas, no fim,  depois do SKYFALL, teremos a ressurreição. Mesmo cansados e abatidos tal Tennyson já escreveu e é citado por Judi Dench no filme, os britânicos voltam e vencem, pois nunca se rendem.
